Announcing the Upward Genesis Grant Campaign
In Web3, the wallet is your gateway to accessing a brand new world of decentralized applications, and it’s a critical part of the ecosystem. At Uptick Network, we’ve specifically developed wallet applications and services designed for easy integration within our ecosystem and all connected Interchain ecosystems, including an embedded wallet service. This service is key to enabling our ecosystem’s applications to collaborate seamlessly and live together in a harmonious way.
Since its launch in mid-March, the Upward Wallet App has received enthusiastic feedback from users. In response, we have made several iterations and upgrades, ensuring steady progress. Now, with the recent approval of Prop #20, we are excited to announce the next step: the launch of the ‘Upward Genesis Grant’ campaign.
What is the Upward Genesis Grant Campaign?
This campaign allows Upward users to claim UPTICK tokens weekly, enhancing interaction within the app and rewarding our users for their continued loyalty and active participation
Upward Genesis Grant #1 is expected to last for three months, starting on May 1, 2024 (00:00 UTC +8), and concluding on July 31, 2024. We will make adjustments based on user participation and launch a follow-up campaign.
Step 1 | Download the Upward Wallet App
To participate in this event, you must first download the Upward Wallet app, which is now available on both iOS and Android.
Step 2 | Set Up a Receiving Wallet
First, switch to the Uptick Network (EVM) chain to access the entry point of the Upward Genesis Grant campaign. Additionally, please set up a receiving wallet to regularly claim UPTICK Grants.
Note:
- You can only set up one receiving wallet, which cannot be changed once you have made a claim.
- To claim your grants, you must first switch to the designated receiving wallet.
Step 3 | Get Free Gas
Since the smart contract governs the distribution of UPTICK Grants, users are required to pay the gas fees when applying for the grants. This can be a significant challenge for new users.
Therefore, we have thoughtfully integrated a gas acquisition feature. If your designated wallet has no balance, please click the ‘Get Free Gas’ button. You can also manually click the refresh button to view changes in your account balance.
Step 4 | Claim Your Uptick Grants Weekly
The last step of the claiming process is to click the ‘Claim’ button and enter your password to submit your request. The distribution may take some time to complete, and you can pull down to refresh and view the status of the distribution.
Can I recover UPTICK Grants if I miss some weeks?
Due to the smart contract governing the distribution of UPTICK Grants, it is not possible to redistribute rewards for any weeks that were missed. Therefore, we recommend regularly checking your Upward wallet to avoid missing out on claims.
Can I claim UPTICK Grants multiple times within the same week?
The purpose of this event is to lower the entry barrier for users into the crypto world. You are allowed to claim a small amount of UPTICK tokens ONCE per week in the Upward wallet app to explore the Uptick ecosystem.
To ensure fair distribution, we have imposed the following restrictions:
- A single wallet can be successfully claimed only once a week.
- A single device can be successfully claimed only once a week.
Please note that there is a limit to the total UPTICK Grants available each week. We recommend claiming early in the week to avoid missing out, as grants can be fully claimed.
In short, within the same week, a single wallet per device can successfully claim UPTICK Grants ONCE.
Can I change the receiving wallet?
Once you set up the receiving wallet, it will be selected by default in subsequent weeks. Therefore, we recommend choosing your receiving wallet carefully when you claim it for the first time. If you need to change the receiving wallet, you must delete the current one and set up a new one as your receiving wallet.
Can I use another device to claim UPTICK Grants?
If your receiving wallet, Wallet A, has already claimed UPTICK Grants on Device A, you will need to wait until the next week to claim within Wallet A on Device B.
